The location is near the train station. The staff was friendly and efficient . I found the food and beer in the bar good. Early check in time was available.
The neighborhood felt a little sketchy at night. I have to leave my room key with the owner when I left for a walk.

Convenient Stay Near the Station
station proximity friendly staff helpful staff
I appreciated the close proximity to the Gare du Nord station. I could easily walk there with my luggage in just a few minutes. The staff members were very friendly and helpful during my short stay. They were also understanding of my limited French and took their time to listen.
The hotel asked that I leave my room key with them whenever I left the building. This policy made me uneasy as I had some valuable items in my room.
Facilities
9/10
The room had a bed, a hand washbasin, a desk, and a wardrobe that met my basic needs for an overnight stay. Breakfast was available at the bar downstairs. It offered typical French meals I liked, so it was convenient. Luggage storage was also available, I appreciated.
Service
10/10
The administrators were responsive and had a positive attitude, this made my check-in easy. Staff offered to keep my luggage overnight, very kind. I received a call from the staff to check I was OK when I was late, it showed that they cared.
Location
10/10
The hotel is just across the street from the Gare du Nord, so its location is perfect. I found it very convenient as it made my travel connections simple. The bar in front provided a glimpse into Parisian city life.

convenient location ready staff
The location proved very convenient. It was close to the train station. The staff displayed readiness to assist, even holding luggage overnight. I found the proximity to transportation hubs most helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
I noticed some wear in the room, with paint and wallpaper showing signs of age. The shared shower required improvement. I trust the hotel will address these concerns for future visitors.

peeling paint shared shower
The room looked pretty ancient, I must say. Paint peeled off the walls. It was not a pretty sight. The shared shower situation was not ideal either. Trekking down two floors is just not my idea of fun after a tiring day.
